Raw Caramel Slice


Shhhh ... I have a secret ... Miss Kim has a weakness! It's Caramel Slice!! Well, it's not the unhealthy caramel slice you may think. This one is made with medjool dates instead of refined sugar, almonds instead of processed biscuits and tahini to give it a sensational caramel flavour.

She claims it is even better than the one from the Paleo Cafe.

Give it a try, all you need is a blender and the following ingredients;

Base

½ cup Medjool dates

1 ½ cups almonds

1 tsp vanilla essence

Caramel

½ cup tahini

½ cup maple syrup

¼ cup coconut oil

1 tsp vanilla essence

Large pinch Himalayan salt

Chocolate topping

3-4 tbsp raw cacao

1 tsp carob powder (optional)

3-4 tbsp coconut sugar/ agave syrup/ rice malt syrup

½ cup coconut oil
